| Hello everybody. My name is John and I've been poking my head in here for the past few days. Great site you've got. I've always been a car guy, and have a '68 Camaro that I've restored over the past 6 years. It is now nice enough that I'm no longer going to use it as a commuter car. You can check out some pics of it at [ www.geocities.com/boodlefoof/camaro2 ] Anyway, so I'm looking for a new driver. I happen to be pretty demanding with what I do and don't like to drive, and I really like the 5-speed, 300ZX TT. So, I'm in the process of looking at one and think I may be close to closing the deal. It is a 1990 with 120k on the odometer. Paint is a bit old and has some chips and scratches... body is almost dent-free however. Interior is flawless... it looks brand new. Took a peek underneath, engine doesn't appear to have any leaks, no serious rust issues. Mechanically, the car seems very sound. The engine fires right up, no visible smoke upon start up. Clutch action is perfect, as is the tranny. Handles tight, engine seems healthy throughout the powerband, etc. Only drawbacks... that bose stereo has some sort of problem. I've read that they are prone to problems. The front speakers crackle very loudly. Also, the guy selling it doesn't have any of the car's maintenance history! He's only had the car a short while, and the story is that he is selling it for his son who has moved half way across the country. Anyway, I'm going to try to have a shop check it out before buying. Any ideas for other stuff I should look for?
